The Studio "Haudeamus" announced the competition of creative works for Mother's Day (photographs and drawings) in the Chernihiv National Technological University at the beginning of April.
28 students' works from different faculties of the university were presented on the competition.
The exhibition-contest was opened on May 11, 2015 in the building №8 of ChNTU (SEI of right and social technologies). It will be held from 18 to 22 May at the Scientific-educational Institute of Economics and it will be ended in the central building of the university.

Mother's Day is an international holiday.
It has been officially celebrated every year since 2000 in Ukraine, on the second Sunday of May. The US Congress officially established this holiday on May 8, 1914 for the first time. Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany and Czechoslovakia began to celebrate this holiday after The First World War. The Union of Ukrainian Canadian first conducted The Mother's Day in 1928. The next year this holiday was celebrated in Lviv. Olena Kysylevska, who was the editor of the weekly "Women's destiny", was the initiator of the celebration. In 1939 the Soviet authorities forbade the celebration. In 1990, due to the efforts of civil society organizations, including the Union of Ukrainian, The Mother's Day returned to Ukraine.
