The registration to participate in the second phase of the scholarship program "Polish Erasmus for Ukraine" in 2014/2015 academic year is announced

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced the start of registration for participation in the second phase of the scholarship program of the Government of the Republic of Poland "Polish Erasmus for Ukraine" in the 2014/2015 academic year.
The second phase involves training of 400 students and 50 graduate students in Polish higher educational establishments for two semesters. Language of instruction is Polish. If the student does not know the language, he / she will be enrolled to the language course at universities for one semester. Students will begin their study from the next semester, after successful language training. English language is a desirable but not obligatory.
The state budget of the Republic of Poland will pay for the teaching of students and postgraduate students, who will be selected by the Polish side.
After the program, participants are obliged to return to Ukraine to complete the teaching in their high educational establishment.

Accordingly with the conditions of Polish side, candidates may submit applications from all regions of Ukraine, who:
- Do not have Polish citizenship
- Do not have a permit for permanent residence in Poland
- Have a proof of completion of the 2nd year of university education of Ukraine (for the Bachelor degree), or the 4th year of study (for the Master degree)
- Have an average point of the three main specialty subjects at least "good" ("4" - according to the Polish system of evaluation on a scale of 2-5, or at least 80 points on a scale of 1-100)
- For those who speak Polish - have a certificate or other document confirming proficiency at levels A1 - C1, in accordance with the recommendations of the Council of Europe (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment). If a person has knowledge of Polish language, but there is no document confirming proficiency, the language level will be determined during qualifying interview
- Actively involved in the development of civil society (can give the specific examples of the participation in various projects)
- Have a List of publications is obligatory for candidates who want to study in postgraduate course. Other candidates also can complete their applications about scientific activities, which can have the positive influence on the success of the application
- For postgraduate students* - to have a diploma of studying in Ukraine, equivalent with Polish diploma of graduation of level II (Master)

Required documents for application:
- A completed application form (in Ukrainian or English or Polish)
- A copy of the document certifying the citizenship of Ukraine
- Confirmation of the 2nd or 4th-year (bachelor's degree) issued by the university of Ukraine (academic certificate)
- Certificate or the other document confirming the knowledge of the Polish language on the system accepted by the Council of Europe (A1-C2)
- For candidates for post-graduate studies - to have a diploma of studying in Ukraine, equivalent with Polish diploma of graduation of level II (Master), along with its notarized translation
- For candidates for post-graduate studies - confirmation of scientific activity, issued by the educational establishment of Ukraine, where the graduate student studies or independent scientific community, who work in this educational establishment
- For candidates for post-graduate studies (if it present) - Confirmation of cooperation with Polish universities issued by the educational establishment of Ukraine, where the graduate student studies
- Medical certificate
- Student will need to buy insurance for the period of residence in Poland which will cover the cost of treatment, or voluntarily insure himself/ herself by signing an agreement with the National Health Fund (in the second case the information will be given by the educational establishment, which accepts for studying).

The deadline for applications is January 6, 2015.

Till January 23, MES will prepare a list of recommended candidates to participate in Interviews, which will be held in Kiev together with the representatives of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland.

Conducting Interviews will be on 27-30 January, 2015
